Description

When you’re taking a client A LOT shorter, have you ever been a little too ambitions with your initial chopping? We’ve so been there! This week, our very own Nikki Lee is here with us and she’s going to give her very long haired client a big chop and show you all her critical tips and tricks to keep this type of change intentional, precise, and perfect! She’s also going to talk to through how to donate it with the BeYOUtiful Foundation. If you’re not familiar, it’s a non-profit organization that accepts hair that’s 8 inches or longer. Color treated hair, removed extensions…they take it all and have already made a huge difference is so many people’s lives. So, the cut! Nikki actually uses several bands to map out where she wants the new length to be which winds up making the overall haircut much easier to do. People often opt for just a couple of bands…which can leave you with much shorter results than you intended. Nikki’s client has super thick hair, so instead of over-texturizing her, she’s going to go with her natural thickness and give her an almost blunt texture. It’s full and has weight to it but moves effortlessly and looks soooo chic. It’s like a modern Cleopatra. LOVE. Be sure to tune in next week! Nikki is going to adjust her client’s color to fit her fabulous new cut before revealing the final look!
